Truth

You remember in Scarface when Tony was at that expensive restaurant all drunk sayin "I always tell the truth, even when I lie." This is my take on what he meant by that.
He meant that it was the truth as far as he knew it. Meanin if someone is convinced of a particular thing, It doesn't mean that it's necessarily the blatant undeniable truth, but it's their truth. Tony was just being true to HIMSELF. That's why even though he was the BAD MAN, everyone can find a quality within his character that is admirable. It also is a warning of caution. To those that live life in a whirlwind of deceit. First and foremost the deceived must be yourself , because in order to be convincing enough to convince someone else, you must first convince yourself. As Somerset Maugham said "It's a funny thing about life: if you refuse to accept anything but the best you very often get it."
  • "The same goes for truth", I said.

Of course though, we live in a society that encourages falsehood left and right, up and down. Our own officials lie to the people on a constant basis. We're so caught up in appearance that the suit and tie pulpit trick has kept Bush up in office for eight years. (I don't know about you but as soon as I see that someone is trying to give me wooden nickels, I know I can't trust that guy). Maybeline tells our girls you got to wear this, color that, cover there. Why?, to hide your true self. We let them convince us that we're not good enough coming correct, as we are. That we somehow don't measure up if we don't own this or drive that, Shop here or there, are seen here doing who knows what with who cares people! Do what is meaningful to u. Muster, muster, muster that courage to be you. Most of all ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE. But remember it's all relative. You can only accept yourself to the degree that you are willing to accept others. I AM,  -THE WICKSTA

A poem by Lao Tzu:
Those who know others are intelligent
Those who know themselves have insight.
Those who master others have force
Those who master themselves have strength.

Those who know what is enough are wealthy.
Those who persevere have direction.
Those who maintain their position endure.
And those who die and yet do not perish, live on.

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I wonder who gave wikipedia editors their authority? I mean really, how smart do you have to be to edit wikipedia, to be a "wikipedian". I spent about roughly all together 12 hours learning the wiki language and it's politics and I've come to the conclusion that it's not an encyclopedia of facts, but of preference. If I spent day in and day out learning this scripting lingo, it is guaranteed that I would be able to edit the hairs off a mammoth, but that would''t make me an authority on facts, but an authority on opinion and editing. I don't even have to tell you why opinions are like ass holes. So what is the mighty wikipedia for? It's for a selective group of high chinned characters like, for example, the Ku Klux Klan. Everyone there seems to be able to verify them. There's even a star on the page to signify, "Featured Article". Oh and there's also a lock on the page, which I guess means "vandals" and "haters" like me can't edit that "protected" article. "Instead of exercising facts and truth, wikipedia exercises politics and abuse of authority'', I said. I bet wikipedia is made up of allot of retired cops and city officials. I'm not a city official, but I know a crooked cop anywhere. They also know me, I'm the guy to get, their bread and butter. So thanks wikipedia, for giving me the chance to see Good Ol' homegrown American values being exercised, wiki-wide. But free and a collective of truth and fact contributors, you ain't. So "I'm wasting my Fuckin' time here", I SAID to them. I am The Wicksta, A.K.A. David Cortez, an independent recording engineer/artist, web/graphic designer, video editor, father and VOICE among other things.

I would like to state that there are, (as in any institution, organization or collective),  People that really stand for real equality, justice and truth. I say that because someone did help organize and enhance my article. I don't know who it was exactly but to that individual I extend my thanks.   -The Wicksta

Wisdom is Relative

Wis•dom, Wise+Dumb. To know ones own Balance. Each one has their own wisdom. It's relative. To real-eyes  your own wisdom you must push the threshold of your polars, know your Strengths and Weaknesses.  It is knowing the summit of you, and the plummet of you, then living at the balance point. . Knowing both polars, will lead you to wisdom and BALANCE. Wisdom has nothing to do with books, degrees or IQs, and no one else can make YOU wise.
