Truth

You remember in Scarface when Tony was at that expensive restaurant all drunk sayin "I always tell the truth, even when I lie." This is my take on what he meant by that.
He meant that it was the truth as far as he knew it. Meanin if someone is convinced of a particular thing, It doesn't mean that it's necessarily the blatant undeniable truth, but it's their truth. Tony was just being true to HIMSELF. That's why even though he was the BAD MAN, everyone can find a quality within his character that is admirable. It also is a warning of caution. To those that live life in a whirlwind of deceit. First and foremost the deceived must be yourself , because in order to be convincing enough to convince someone else, you must first convince yourself. As Somerset Maugham said "It's a funny thing about life: if you refuse to accept anything but the best you very often get it."
  • "The same goes for truth", I said.

Of course though, we live in a society that encourages falsehood left and right, up and down. Our own officials lie to the people on a constant basis. We're so caught up in appearance that the suit and tie pulpit trick has kept Bush up in office for eight years. (I don't know about you but as soon as I see that someone is trying to give me wooden nickels, I know I can't trust that guy). Maybeline tells our girls you got to wear this, color that, cover there. Why?, to hide your true self. We let them convince us that we're not good enough coming correct, as we are. That we somehow don't measure up if we don't own this or drive that, Shop here or there, are seen here doing who knows what with who cares people! Do what is meaningful to u. Muster, muster, muster that courage to be you. Most of all ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE. But remember it's all relative. You can only accept yourself to the degree that you are willing to accept others. I AM,  -THE WICKSTA

A poem by Lao Tzu:
Those who know others are intelligent
Those who know themselves have insight.
Those who master others have force
Those who master themselves have strength.

Those who know what is enough are wealthy.
Those who persevere have direction.
Those who maintain their position endure.
And those who die and yet do not perish, live on.

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I wonder who gave wikipedia editors their authority? I mean really, how smart do you have to be to edit wikipedia, to be a "wikipedian". I spent about roughly all together 12 hours learning the wiki language and it's politics and I've come to the conclusion that it's not an encyclopedia of facts, but of preference. If I spent day in and day out learning this scripting lingo, it is guaranteed that I would be able to edit the hairs off a mammoth, but that would''t make me an authority on facts, but an authority on opinion and editing. I don't even have to tell you why opinions are like ass holes. So what is the mighty wikipedia for? It's for a selective group of high chinned characters like, for example, the Ku Klux Klan. Everyone there seems to be able to verify them. There's even a star on the page to signify, "Featured Article". Oh and there's also a lock on the page, which I guess means "vandals" and "haters" like me can't edit that "protected" article. "Instead of exercising facts and truth, wikipedia exercises politics and abuse of authority'', I said. I bet wikipedia is made up of allot of retired cops and city officials. I'm not a city official, but I know a crooked cop anywhere. They also know me, I'm the guy to get, their bread and butter. So thanks wikipedia, for giving me the chance to see Good Ol' homegrown American values being exercised, wiki-wide. But free and a collective of truth and fact contributors, you ain't. So "I'm wasting my Fuckin' time here", I SAID to them. I am The Wicksta, A.K.A. Wisdom is Relative

Wis•dom, Wise+Dumb. To know ones own Balance. Each one has their own wisdom. It's relative. To real-eyes  your own wisdom you must push the threshold of your polars, know your Strengths and Weaknesses.  It is knowing the summit of you, and the plummet of you, then living at the balance point. . Knowing both polars, will lead you to wisdom and BALANCE. Wisdom has nothing to do with books, degrees or IQs, and no one else can make YOU wise.

A Personal View on Hip Hop, "Generation H"

Being Born In the generation of Hip Hop and what it's meant to all of us is a beautiful thing. Remember when it was wrong to color outside the lines, to talk different, look different or to disagree with the mass? Well no longer is that a factor my people. As a matter of fact hip hop is the all inclusive, all expense paid trip into your own uniqueness. So much so that it can be a downright religion, (and is to some). One where everyone brings their own flavor to the table to shine amongst peers for the sake of downright blacksheepedness. Thass right I said it, BLACKSHEEPEDNES. You see "hip hop" is just a phrase used to bring a sense of ease to those with fear for the unknown, treading lightly within the confines of the NORM. But the MOVEMENT of hip hop, is as global and inner as a mustard seed. Crazy duds, doos and phonetics are welcome here. Willing to express freely to the beat of their own individuality can be downright scary to the expresser as well as to the expresse....Yep, it meant scaling the boundaries passed down unto them from their forefathers and what we came to know as LAW.

In a way Hip Hop was birthed within an already hip hop nation. One that said, "I got a better way", or "Let's do it our way, in Order to form a more perfect Union". But of course, there's always a better way or areas that we could GROW in, so some kinks had to be worked out in this re-birth of a Hip Hop Nation. In this new NATION race, color, creed and other shallow measures of men don't count. It's what you bring to the MOVEMENT, how much light you shine from within that counts. Of course with such a movement great leaders will emerge, had to emerge and come to power. Individuals willing to stand alone and shine freely and desolate. Having the courage to be the OUTKAST because hey, I AM HIP HOP. I like my laces fat or whatever. Breeding within these individuals a characteristic needed to stand bold and make change. While at the same time recognizing the light in others and allowing them, in-COURAGE- ing them to shine bright. Knowing that in some cosmic way, that person's light is their own...As in the words of le Snoopy Doggy Dogg when referring to Eazy-E's dissin remarks toward Dre, "When You Dis Dre YOU Dis Yourself".

So now that the Hip Hop Nation is growin up( But of course, with everso much more bountiful reaches we can aspire to), and these brave individuals are scatter throughout our places of power in the US, I feel a sense of great pride to have partaken in this Hip Hop 101, as a course in life. Also hopeful in my fellow classmates, as we keep propelling forward to make things BETTER. It is a movement that has shaped great individuals unafraid of change and courageous enough to stand alone with fire from within, thus giving a spark to us all that says "I like it better this way", "I'ma try to find the BEST way", or "Show me YOUR WAY". -The Wicksta

Dreams/ A Female Pilot...

I had a dream about a week ago that I'm going to blog up, I'ma start doing that here at the Wickstitution cause In the good book it says that "In dreams god opens up the ears of men",
another words dreams are almost like Divine messages from creation in order that we may see something that in our conscious ego-driven state we might not be receiving, so here it is:

THERE WAS A FEMALE PILOT ON AN AIRPLANE THAT I WAS A PASSENGER IN. WE WERE COMING IN FOR A LANDING, BUT IT WASN'T A NORMAL AIRPORT LANDING. THE AIRPLANE WAS ACTUALLY FLYING ABOUT 30 FEET ABOVE A CITY STREET WITH BUILDINGS ALL AROUND. I REMEMBER WE WERE COMING TO THE END OF A STREET WHERE THE PLANE WAS GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE A VERY SHARP TURN OR IT WOULD FLY INTO A BUILDING AHEAD. I WAS A LIL SKEPTIC AND STARTED WONDERING IF WE WERE GONNA MAKE IT. THE PILOT ACTUALLY MADE THE TURN AND A COUPLE OF BLOCKS LATER WE CAME IN FOR A SHAKY  LANDING, BUT WE MADE IT.

in a different section of the same dream:

I WAS IN A ROOM ON THE SIDE OF A BUILDING THAT HAD A 50 FOOT WATER HEATER.
(this part was strange and funny to me cause my gas is shut off right now)

other random parts of a the dream that I remember:

SOMETIME AFTER I GOT OFF THE AIRPLANE AS I WAS WALKING DOWN THE STREET, I REMEMBER TAKING A PART A SILVER SIX SHOOTER, I THINK THERE WAS A BULLET MISSING, BUT I'M NOT SURE. ( It was an old gun like the one the not-so-alone ranger had), EXCEPT THIS ONE HAD A SILENCER. (strange right)

and in another part of the same dream:

THERE WAS, WHERE I WAS WALKING , A SECTION WITH ALLOT OF POLICE STANDING AROUND. I CAME TO A SECTION WHERE THERE WERE RAILROAD TRACKS AND TRAINS CROSSING, AN OFFICER ACTUALLY HELPED ME CROSS CAUSE I GUESS THERE WAS TRAINS COMING AND GOING FREQUENTLY...I THINK HE SIGNALED ONE OF THE TRAIN DRIVERS TO MAKE SURE THAT HE SAW US...I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE, BUT I THINK SOMEONE WAS WITH ME, POSSIBLY MY SON.

So there it is, Any dream analyst out there?

The Heart Has A Mind Of It's Own

this article from: www.therealessentials.com

"...our hearts may actually be the
'intelligent force' behind the intuitive
thoughts and feelings we all experience."

Throughout the ages, the heart has been referred to as a source of not only virtue and love, but also of intelligence. One of the most prevalent themes in ancient traditions and inspirational writing is the heart as a flowing spring of intelligence.

Many ancient cultures, including the Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Babylonian, and Greek, assert that the heart is the primary organ responsible for influencing and directing our emotions and our decision-making ability. Similar perspectives of the heart as a source of intelligence are found in Hebrew, Christian, Chinese, Hindu, and Islamic traditions. For example, the Old Testament saying in Proverbs 23:7, "For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he," is further developed in the New Testament in Luke 5:22, "What reason ye in your hearts?"

The characteristic of balance and the attainment of bodily equilibrium are also recognized as the essence of Yoga traditions, which identifies the heart as the seat of individual consciousness and the center of life. In traditional Chinese medicine, the heart is seen as the connection between the mind and the body, forming a bridge between the two.

Even with all these traditions and colorful heart metaphors, most of us have been taught that the heart is just a ten-ounce muscle that pumps blood and maintains circulation until we die. Medical science asserts that the brain rules all of the body's organs, including the heart. However, it is interesting to note that the heart starts beating in the unborn fetus even before the brain has been formed.

Neuroscientists have recently discovered exciting new information about the heart that makes us realize it's far more complex than we'd ever imagined. Instead of simply pumping blood, it may actually direct and align many systems in the body so that they can function in harmony with one another.

These scientists have found that the heart has its own independent nervous system – a complex system referred to as "the brain in the heart." There are at least forty thousand neurons (nerve cells) in the heart – as many as are found in various subcortical centers of the brain.

The heart communicates with the brain and the rest of the body in three ways documented by solid scientific evidence: neurologically (through transmissions of nerve impulses), biochemically (through hormones and neurotransmitters), and biophysically (through pressure waves). In addition, growing scientific evidence suggests that the heart may communicate with the brain and body in a fourth way – energetically (through electromagnetic field interactions). Through these biological communication systems, the heart has a significant influence on the function of our brains and all our Systems.

This new scientific evidence shows that the heart uses these methods to send our brain extensive emotional and intuitive signals. Along with this understanding that the heart is in constant communication with the brain, scientists are discovering that our hearts may actually be the "intelligent force" behind the intuitive thoughts and feelings we all experience.

Thanks to the discovery of heart intelligence, with its premise of the heart as a primary source of emotions, we have a new paradigm for understanding our emotions. With the strong scientific tie established between our wellness factor through emotional management. The more we learn to listen to and follow our heart intelligence, the more educated, balanced, and coherent our emotions become. And it naturally follows that the more balanced and coherent our emotions become, the less likely we will be to experience sickness and disease.

Because of the ever growing scientific research on heart intelligence, it may be time we developed a new personal attitude about following our hearts."

Tips for learning to recognize our heart's intelligence:

Think positive thoughts throughout the day to increase your personal energy.
Our internal power, or the amount of physical, mental, and emotional energy we have, is a determining factor in the quality of our lives. Internal power translates into vitality and resiliency. Positive thoughts and feelings add energy to our system. Negative thoughts and feelings deplete our personal energy.

Encourage your deepest heart feelings.
There are many positive heart feelings including love, compassion, nonjudgment, courage, patience, sincerity, forgiveness, appreciation, gratitude, and care. Experiencing these feelings increases synchronization and coherence in our heart's rhythmic patterns. Each of these heart feelings has a powerful, beneficial effect on how we relate to life.

Reduce your stress.
The less stress we feel, the less internal confusion we will experience, and the easier it will be to hear our heart's intelligence. When we are relaxed, we don't need to strain our body to stay focused and productive.

Focus on recognizing your heart's intelligence and realize the importance of listening to it before making choices.
The brain operates in a linear, logical manner that works great for many problems but can limit us in others. Often we need more than logic to solve a problem, especially if it is an emotional one.

Heart intelligence provides us with an intuitive awareness that is expanded beyond linear, logical thinking. As a result, our perspective usually becomes more flexible, creative, and comprehensive.

Use meditation or calm, quiet moments to reflect on your heart's intelligence and listen for intuitive thoughts.
Make time each day to sit quietly and focus on your heart. Imagine you are breathing through your heart. Calm your mind. Try to not think of anything but breathing through your heart. When your mind is clear, you will begin to receive impressions and ideas. These are coming from your heart. Pay attention.

It's What You Do

I picked this article up on the net somewhere:

Studies emphasise that new, enjoyable activities have more potential for making us happy than improvements in our circumstances. Indeed activities may have as much as four times more power to make us happy.

Take a Break, read somtn'

HERES AN ARTICLE I PICKED UP @ http://skepdic.com/morphicres.html

morphic resonance

Morphic resonance is a term coined by Rupert Sheldrake in his 1981 book A New Science of Life. He uses the expression to refer to what he thinks is "the basis of memory in nature....the idea of mysterious telepathy-type interconnections between organisms and of collective memories within species."

Sheldrake has been trained in 20th century scientific models--he has a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Cambridge University (1967)--but he prefers Goethe and 19th century vitalism. Sheldrake prefers teleological to mechanistic models of reality. Rather than apply his scientific knowledge and training to, say, trying to develop a way to increase crop yields or a way to heal the sick, he prefers to study and think in terms outside of the paradigms of science and inside the paradigms of the occult and the paranormal. One of his books is entitled Dogs That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home: And Other Unexplained Powers of Animals. One of his studies is on whether people can tell when someone is staring at them. (He says they can; others have been unable to duplicate his results.*) Another tests the telepathic powers of a parrot. He prefers a romantic vision of the past to the bleak picture of a world run by technocrats who want to control nature and destroy much of the environment in the process. In short, he prefers metaphysics to science, though he seems to think he can do the former but call it the latter. Perhaps it would be fairer to say that he sees no borderline between science and metaphysics.

'Morphic resonance' (MR) is put forth as if it were an empirical term, but it is no more empirical than L. Ron Hubbard's 'engram', the alleged source of all mental and physical illness. The term is more on par with the Stoic's notion of the logos. Bergson's notion of the élan vital, or Plato's notion of the eidos than it is with any scientific notion of the laws of nature. What the rest of the scientific world terms lawfulness--the tendency of things to follow patterns we call laws of nature--Sheldrake calls morphic resonance. He describes it as a kind of memory in things determined not by their inherent natures, but by repetition. He also describes MR as something which is transmitted via "morphogenetic fields." This gives him a conceptual framework wherein information is transmitted mysteriously and miraculously through any amount of space and time without loss of energy, and presumably without loss or change of content through something like mutation in DNA replication. Thus, room is made for psychical as well as physical transmission of information. Thus,

it is not at all necessary for us to assume that the physical characteristics of organisms are contained inside the genes, which may in fact be analogous to transistors tuned in to the proper frequencies for translating invisible information into visible form. Thus, morphogenetic fields are located invisibly in and around organisms, and may account for such hitherto unexplainable phenomena as the regeneration of severed limbs by worms and salamanders, phantom limbs, the holographic properties of memory, telepathy, and the increasing ease with which new skills are learned as greater quantities of a population acquire them.*

While this metaphysical proposition does seem to make room for telepathy, it does so at the expense of ignoring Occam's razor. Telepathy and such things as phantom limbs, for example, can be explained without adding the metaphysical baggage of morphic resonance. So can memory, which does not require a holographic paradigm, by the way. The notion that new skills are learned with increasing ease as greater quantities of a population acquire them, known as the hundredth monkey phenomenon, is bogus.

In short, although Sheldrake commands some respect as a scientist because of his education and degree, he has clearly abandoned conventional science in favor of magical thinking. This is his right, of course. However, his continued pose as a scientist on the frontier of discovery is unwarranted. He is one of a growing horde of "alternative" scientists whose resentment at the aspiritual nature of modern scientific paradigms, as well as the obviously harmful and seemingly indifferent applications of modern science, have led them to seek their own paradigms in ancient and long-abandoned concepts. These paradigms are not new, though the terminology is. These alternative paradigms allow for angels, telepathy, psychic dogs, alternative realities, and hope for a future world where we all live in harmony and love, surrounded by blissful neighbors who never heard of biological warfare, nuclear bombs, or genetically engineered corn on the cob.
